Adolescence is a time of enormous life change. Not only does the adolescent’s body undergo a great revolution, but they must also face a series of psychological challenges necessary to reach adulthood. This transition is not simple. In order to build their new identity, they must leave behind childhood and the role they represented for their family. This undoubtedly involves a mourning process that triggers significant subjective disturbances that are not yet tied together by the new identity that will emerge to support their life. For this reason, adolescents go through a period of great emotional lability.
